I tried my hand at some sorcery the other day and found that it's just as hard as people say it is. However, I was able to summon and make a deal with this fire elemental from another plane. They said they would hate to live here as it would sully their perfect flame but they'd divulge some magical secrets along as a reward for my efforts. I never looked that gift horse in the mouth, besides, it never had one. And it seemed to like burning living things a bit too much for my liking.
